Plant Settings

This chapter describes the configuration options available for how the plant operates. These settings are used to manage crucial MES processes, therefore you must only modify the settings if you are trained and understand the impact of each configuration.

To view and configure the plant settings, on top-right of the screen, select Settings > Plant Settings.

These tabs are displayed on the Plant Settings screen:

  • Main: Allows you to configure general settings, such as start of day, start of week, currency, and decimal separator.
  • Display: Allows you to configure how quality information is to be displayed, such as overdue checks and alarms.
  • Data Entry: Allows you to configure how quality data is recorded.
  • Name Template: Allows you to configure the rules used to generate identifiers for production orders, bill or materials, inventory, and logistics.
  • Master Data: Allows you to configure settings and restrictions related to master data.
  • Period Settings: Allows you to configure recall windows, forward projections, and data retention settings.
  • Production Order: Allows you to configure settings related to production orders, production runs, and release statuses.
  • Workflow: Allows you to configure settings related to workflow.
  • Labour: Allows you to configure settings related to labour.
  • Maintenance: Allows you to configure settings related maintenance.
  • Event Based Trigger History: Allows you to configure the retention settings related to event-based triggers.
