Adding an ERP interface

  1. Select System > ERP Planning > ERP Interfaces. The ERP Interfaces screen is displayed.
  2. Click Add. The Add window is displayed.
  3. Specify this information:
    ERP Interface
    The unique name of the ERP interface.
    Description
    The description of the ERP interface.
    ERP Interface Code
    The code used to map this interface to another system.
    ERP Interface Reference
    The reference of the ERP interface. A free-text field used as an optional reference.
    ERP Server
    The ERP server with which the ERP interface communicates.
    ERP Interface Type
    The ERP interface type from which the ERP interface is derived.
    Processing Status
    The default processing status of records when they are added to the holding table of the ERP interface.
    Records To Process
    The number of records to process each time the ERP interface is executed.
    Is Upload
    If this check box is selected, the ERP interface uploads data from MES to ERP. If this check box is not selected, the ERP interface downloads data from ERP to MES.
    ERP Interface Method
    The method of connection for the ERP interface. Possible values:
    • Stored Procedure Call
    • RFC (or Web Service Call)
    • File Event
    • External Database
    Enabled?
    If this check box is selected, the ERP interface is active.
  4. Click OK.
