Master Data tab
You can specify this information on the Master Data tab:
- Always Revise Specifications
- If this check box is selected, you must revise specifications on every change. Else, you must revise specification when data has been collected. Specifications must always be revised on distributed systems.
- Machine Stop Recording Mode
-
The method in which the machine stop events are recorded using PLC signals. Possible values:
- Write Every Stop Reason: All stop signals received from the PLC signals are recorded.
- Write First Slow To Stop Reasons Only: The first transition from a slow state to stopped state events are recorded.
- Write Last Stop Reason Only: The last stop received from the PLC signals are recorded.
- Auto Create Specifications For Materials By Default
-
The method to generate specifications automatically when materials are added. Possible values:
- Disable: Specifications are not created automatically.
- Enable: Prompt the user to confirm whether a matching specification must be created.
- Enable and Default: The specifications are created automatically to match the created materials.
- Default SPC Calculation Style
- The default calculation style used when creating new inspection variables.
- Allow Inventory Inserts in the Past
- If this check box is selected, inventory packs can be created with dates earlier than subsequent inventory packs.
- BOM Lower Tolerance
- The lower tolerance allowable on the quantity consumed. This applies to all BOM items but are overridden by tolerances defined on individual BOM items. For example, 0.8 represents 80%.
- BOM Upper Tolerance
- The upper tolerance allowable on the quantity consumed. This applies to all BOM items but are overridden by tolerances defined on individual BOM items. For example, 1.2 represents to 120%.
- Restrict read access to area permissions
- If this check box is selected, users without permissions cannot view data related to restricted areas in reports.
- Label Save Directory
- The default directory to save inventory labels. The Infor MES Label Service must have write access to the directory.
- FIFO Generation Mode
-
The method used to generate the First-In-First-Out (FIFO) numbers for inventory packs. Possible values:
- None: The FIFO numbers are not generated.
- Year & Month & Day: The FIFO numbers are generated based on the year, month, and day.
- Month & Day: The FIFO numbers are generated based on the month and day.
- Month & Daily Sequence: The FIFO numbers are generated based on the month and the daily sequence.
- Month & Sequence: The FIFO numbers are generated based on the month and the sequence.
- Calendar Week: The FIFO numbers are generated based on the calendar week.
- Shift: The FIFO numbers are generated based on the shift.
- User Defined: The FIFO numbers are generated based on user-defined settings. You must contact the Infor project team or an Infor partner to enable this option.
- FIFO Strategy
-
The method used to validate the FIFO sequence of inventory. Possible values:
- None: The FIFO strategy is not validated.
- Warn: Display a warning when FIFO is violated.
- Warn and Acknowledge: Display a warning and require user acknowledgment when FIFO is violated.
- Error: Prevent the user from proceeding when FIFO is violated.
- Inventory Allocation Strategy
-
The validation strategy for confirming inventory allocation on a production order. Possible values:
- None: Allocation strategy is not considered.
- Warn: Warn the user when allocation rules are not met.
- Warn and Acknowledge: Warn the user when allocation rules are not met and require acknowledgment.
- Error: The user is blocked if the allocation strategy is not met.
- Location Controlled Warehouse
- If this check box is selected, the plant operates as a location-controlled warehouse. In this configuration, ERP tracks the specific locations in Infor MES.
