OPC

Open Platform Communication (OPC) is an industry standard that enables communication and interoperability between PLCs and other systems. This allows data to be collected from machines in a standard way and in real-time.

OPC UA is platform-independent and is the standard supported by the application. OPC was formerly known as OLE for Process Control, which stands for Object Linking and Embedding for Process Control.

The application has a built-in OPC Client that is driven by the configuration within the application.
