Adding a list

The List widget displays a record for each item from the selected data source. You can use this widget to create a list of actions.

To add a list widget:

  1. Select Application Configuration > Configuration > Application > Dashboard Library. The Dashboard Library screen is displayed.
  2. Click the required dashboard. The Dashboard Builder screen is displayed.
  3. Click Edit. A confirmation window is displayed. screen is displayed.
  4. Click Ok. The Select a Topic section is displayed.
  5. Click the required topic. The Select a Data Source section is displayed.
  6. Click the required data source. The Select a Widget Type section is displayed.
  7. Click List. The Select a List section is displayed.
  8. Drag and drop the Add New option from the Select a List section to the dashboard. The Widget Builder screen is displayed.
  9. Define the size of the widget and click Save. The Dashboard Builder screen is displayed.
  10. Specify this information:
    Hide Title?
    If this check box is selected, the title of the list widget is not displayed.
    Source
    The source from which the name of the list widget is defined. Possible values:
    • Glossary Term: The list widget name is defaulted based on the value selected in the Title Glossary Term field.
    • Edit Box: The name must be manually specified.
    Title Glossary Term
    The name of the glossary term to be displayed on the list widget.
    Title Glossary Property
    The glossary property to be used for the list widget. By default, this value is displayed when you specify the Title Glossary Term field.
    Edit Box
    The name for the list widget.
    Note: This field is displayed only if the Source field is set to Editbox.
    Click Action Area
    The location that opens when you click the widget. For example, if you set this field to Overview, clicking the widget takes you to the Dashboard Overview screen.
    Dashboard Layout Click Entity
    The location that opens when you click the widget. The click action is configured in the Dashboard Layout Settings section
    Note: This field is displayed only if the Click Action Area field is not specified.

    Display Type
    The method in which items are displayed in the list. Possible values:
    • horizontally
    • vertically
    • carousel
    Hide Gap?
    If this check box is selected, the gaps between each record on the list is removed.
    Interval
    The time in seconds for the carousel to update automatically.
    Note: This field is displayed only if the Display Type field is set to carousel.
    Columns
    The number of columns that the list to be displayed without scrolling.
    Note: This field is displayed only if the Display Type field is set to horizontal.
    Min Width
    The minimum width for each card in a column. For example, if you define 6 columns and the Min Width field is set to 25%, the list displays only 4 cards without scrolling as 100%/ 25% is 4.
    Note: This field is displayed only if the Display Type field is set to horizontal.
  11. Click Save.
