Areas

Areas represent a logical and often physical grouping in a factory’s production environment. Areas are used to organize assets, machines, and production lines.

Areas support access control by restricting visibility based on user permissions. Only users with the appropriate permissions can view data related to the lines and machines in assigned areas. Without required permissions, data is not visible on dashboards and in reports, including configuration screens.
