Manufacturing operations are dependent on procedures and compliance. The application provides functionality to ensure users are provided with the right information at the right time.
Document Types
Document Types are used to categorize documents to help with the management of documents.
For example, documents can be configured into the following types:
- Material SOPs
- Quality SOPs
- Equipment Guides
- Tool Guide
Documents
Documents can be attached to the master data and production data records, such as machines, materials, inspections and production orders.
Documents are used to provide additional information to users. Supported document formats include any type that can be displayed on the client device. The typical formats are images, videos, and PDF documents.
Documents can be stored in the application database or linked through a URL.
The advantage of linking is that the file can be kept and managed in a 3rd party Document Control Software. When using this approach, the URL must remain static and always point to the latest version of the document.
