Materials can belong to one group only. Material Group is a property set on the material master record.

Material Sub Groups

Material Sub Groups are additional collections of materials within Material Groups and are used for reporting purposes only.

These subgroups build on Material Groups to help in systematically organizing materials, enabling clearer insights and more effective decision-making to enhance operational efficiency.

Material Sub Groups are defined per Material Group.
