Position Validation Type

Position Validation Type defines the number of inventory packs allowed at a single machine position during production. By default, only one inventory pack can be created at each output position at a time.

The Position Validation Type setting on Process Types allows this behavior to be adjusted using these options:

• Allow one pack per position: Restricts each position to a single inventory pack at a time. This is the default setting.
• Allow one pack per material per position: Permits multiple inventory packs at a single position, however, only one material can be created on a single position at a time.
• Allow any number of packs per position: Allows multiple inventory packs on a single position at a time, regardless of material.
