Dimensions

The application supports tracking of dimensional data on each inventory pack. To enable this functionality, the following master data is configured on each material:

• Nominal Item Length: The standard length of a single item.
• Nominal Item Width: The standard width of a single item.
• Nominal Item Thickness: The standard thickness of a single item.
• Dimension Unit: The unit of measure for dimensions.
• Nominal Item Volume: The standard volume for a single item.
• Nominal Item Weight: The standard weight for a single item.
• Weight Unit: The unit of measure for weight.
• Variable Weight Managed: Indicates whether inventory weight is tracked alongside the base unit quantity.
• Nominal Pack Height: The standard height for an inventory pack.
• Nominal Pack Width: The standard width for an inventory pack.
• Nominal Pack Depth: The standard depth for an inventory pack.
• Nominal Packaging Weight: The standard weight of the packaging of the inventory pack.
• Nominal Mass Per Area: The standard mass per area for the inventory pack.
• Nominal Density: The standard density for the inventory pack.

These dimensional values are inherited by each inventory pack created for the material. Depending on the transformations executed on the inventory pack, the dimensional values are automatically updated.
