Progression Tables

Progression Tables in beverage can production define a grade to each sub-tool based on diameter. Each progression table specifies the valid grade combinations for the different sub-tools in each cavity.

Different progression tables are used for different combination of of tooling characteristics, such as material, size, and gauge. The required progression tables are defined as master data.

For example, a progression table can be configured as follows:
Grade Punch Redraw 1st Iron 2nd Iron Pilot 3rd Iron Material Size Gauge
1 65.982 66.568 66.421 66.304 66.329 66.177 Al 250 270

If the punch is selected first, the remaining sub-tools for the tool pack must have diameters in the same row as the punch diameter that correspond to the same row of the progression table as the selected punch.
