Changing a tool

You can log tool/s that are loaded into or unloaded from a machine on the line used to perform a production run. To change a tool:

  1. Select Home > Maintenance > Tool Dashboard. The Tool Management screen is displayed.
  2. Select a record and click Change Tool. The Change Tool window is displayed.
  3. Specify the date and time when the tool is changed in the Changed At field of When section.
    Possible values:
    • Current Time
    • Start Of Job
    • Manually Enter Time
  4. Specify this information in the Unload Current Tool section:
    Unload State
    The asset state to be assigned to the tool after unloading.
    Unload Location
    The location where the tool is placed after unloading.
    Unload Reason
    The reason for unloading or replacing the tool.
    Unload Comments
    The additional information related to unloading or replacing the tool.
  5. Specify this information in the Load New Tool section:
    Tool Location
    The current location of the tool to be loaded.
    Load Tool
    The new tool to load into the machine.
  6. Click OK.
