Tool Change Reasons identify why a tool is changed during production. Tools are typically changed when a new production order requires different tools for the material being produced. A tool change can also be required due to quality issues, tool wear, and breakages.

Recording Tool Change Reasons provide a history of tool changes and the circumstances associated with each change.

Tool Change Reasons can be assigned to a Tool Change Reason Set when the reason is created. Reasons can also be assigned and unassigned from Sets independently. The same Tool Change Reason can be linked to multiple set.
