Tool Templates

Tool packs of the same tool type must contain the same sub-tool types in the same composition. For example:

  • Glass Mold: Left Side, Right Side, and Neck
  • Bodymaker Tool Pack: Punch, Redraw Iron, 1st Iron, 2nd Iron, Pilot, and 3rd Iron

A tool template defines the required configuration of sub-tools within a tool pack. When a new tool pack is created, placeholders are created for the required sub-tools, with the corresponding cavity names. The tool template can also define rules that apply when a specific sub-tool is loaded.

Note: Tool templates are required only when a tool pack comprises different tool types.
