Changing tools during production

A tool can be replaced during production. When a tool is replaced, a tool change reason and relevant comments can be specified.

The replacement tool must meet the same validation requirements that apply when a tool is loaded into the specified machine position.

These requirements must be met:

• The tool type must match the tool type defined for the routing operation and machine position.
• The tool must be in the Available state.
• When tool properties are defined, the property values must match the corresponding material properties for the production run.
