Allocating a tool to a production run

You can allocate the tool(s) to a machine position for a scheduled production run. To allocate a tool:

  1. Select Home > To Do > Production Orders. The Production Orders screen is displayed.
  2. Select an existing job and click Allocations. The Tool Allocations report section is displayed.
  3. Select a tool record and click Allocate Tool. The Allocate Tool window is displayed at the bottom.
    Note: This option is enabled only if the Job Status field is set to Scheduled.
  4. Specify this information:
    Order
    The production order for which the tool is allocated.
    Machine
    The machine to which the tool is allocated.
    Position
    The machine position to which the tool is allocate.
    Tool
    The tool to allocate to the specified machine position.
    Tool Start Comment
    The additional information related to the tool allocation.
  5. Click OK.
