Asset Inspections
Asset Inspections enable quality checks to be performed on assets. These inspections verify that an asset meets operational standards and is safe and ready for use. Based on the asset and inspection requirements, inspections can include visual assessments, dimensional measurements, safety tests, or functional checks. Inspection definitions specify the checklist items, measurement tolerances, and pass or fail criteria used during the inspection.
Subject to implementation, inspection requests can be generated automatically based on events, such as tool unloading, a defined number of operating cycles, or the completion of a repair. Authorized users can also initiate inspections manually based on observed issues or scheduled intervals.
Inspection data is saved as part of the asset history and can be used for reliability analysis, compliance reporting, and predictive maintenance strategies. Integration with barcode scanners, tablets, or other devices can improve efficiency and accuracy during the inspection process.
To use an inspection for assets, the Inspection Type must be set to Assets. For more information, see Inspections.
