Assets
Assets are pieces of equipment or components of that equipment used in a factory. This includes machines, gauges, ancillary equipment, and other components that support manufacturing operations.
Assets are purchased from suppliers; and the costs and life cycle of assets can be tracked in the application. Assets must be maintained and repaired to support continued use and operational reliability.
In the application, assets are defined in master data to support data capture, reporting, accurate tracking, and operational control. Each asset is categorized by a type, and can be positioned in a hierarchy. Additional details, such as material, priority, and category can be defined to describe the asset. These definitions help standardize asset behavior, enhance search and filtering, and support maintenance, and cost tracking throughout the life cycle of an asset. Attachments can be uploaded or linked to an asset definition, such as user manuals, maintenance SOPs, videos, and other digital content related to the asset.
