Reporting Counts
Reporting Counts enables users to analyze asset usage from different perspectives. Understanding the differences between the available count values help users select the correct counter for analysis, reporting, or maintenance planning. The available counter values include:
- Current Count: Use this count to analyze detailed production activity for a specific period when the machine is running and a tool is in use. This count provides the most accurate count for a specific period. However, large date ranges can increase the amount of data that must be processed.
- Lifetime Count: Use this count to view the total count accumulated by the counter over the entire lifetime of the asset. This value is always derived from the asset counter.
- Count since Last Maintenance: Use this count to track asset usage since the most recent occurrence of a specified maintenance activity. This value is calculated using the asset counter.
- Count since Last Repair: Use this count to track asset usage since the asset is last in the Requires Repair state. This value is also calculated using the asset counter.
These counters can be used to monitor tool usage, analyze asset performance, and support maintenance planning . When the Maintenance module is used, the counters can also be used to automatically initiate maintenance procedures when predefined threshold values are reached.
