Routings

Routings define the sequence of one or more operations required to manufacture a material. This describes the activities required to transform input material into output material.

Routings contain key information used during the execution of production orders and related transactions.

When creating a production order, a routing is selected during the scheduling process. Once assigned, the current revision of the routing is locked. The routing must be revised before changes can be made, then released to use the new revision when scheduling production orders.
