Rework Counter Types

Rework Counters are used to capture the rework quantities on a machine. Before you can record rework counts, you must configure the rework counters as master data.

Once configured, each rework count is recorded for that specific rework counter.

The rework counter must be defined as being collected in a specific unit of measure that defines how the rework quantity is collected. In some scenarios, the specified unit matches the UOM for the material being produced, however, a different unit can also be used.

The unit for the counter must be the same as the unit of the material or have a unit conversion defined. If the rework count is in a different unit to the base unit for the material, a conversion is captured when the count is recorded.

The rework records the quantity and the base unit of the material, along with the original quantity and the unit in which the data is collected.
