Assistance Types

Machine Stop Reasons can optionally be associated with an Assistance Type, which identifies the type of support required to return a stopped machine to operation.

Assistance Types are useful when monitoring a series of production lines, as the request for help can be clearly seen within MES on a dashboard or report.

The following default Types are available:

• Labor: Waiting for labor resources.
• Logistics: Waiting for material.
• Maintenance: Waiting for the maintenance engineers in case there is a breakdown.
• Quality Approval: Waiting to get approval from the quality department if there has been a concession.
• Quality Concern: Waiting for the quality department to investigate and resolve a quality concern that has been raised.
• Setter: Waiting for a skilled setter to set up the machine.
• Supervisor Required: Waiting for supervisor.
• Tooling: Waiting on tooling to be provided or installed.

Assistance Types are plant or enterprise level master data. Additional Types can be added if required through the Machine Types configuration settings.
