Production Stop Reason Sets

Production Stop Reason Sets provide a flexible way to group Production Stop Reasons that are applicable to one or more production lines.

Manufacturing processes often require variability in the valid explanations for changeover, ramp-up and periods of non-production. As a result, individual production lines make use of a different collection of Production Stop Reasons. Using set-based approach allows these reasons to be managed efficiently and consistently across the system.

A default Production Stop Reason Set can also be configured per Line Type, to allow for new Lines to inherit this Set upon creation.

When a Production Stop Reason must be provided as part of an operator action, for example, when providing a root cause for a period of non-production, the available options are limited to the reasons contained in the Production Stop Reason Set assigned to that line. This ensures that operators can select only relevant and valid reasons.
