Routing Operation – Material Allocations

Some Routing Operations require consumption of specific materials to perform the operation. These materials can be defined as Material Allocations for each Routing Operation.

Each routing operation can have zero or more Material Allocations. Every allocation must include:

• A unique numeric position
• A material type

An allocation can also include a specific material of that type, if only one material can be consumed.

If only the material type is defined, any material of that type can be consumed for the routing operation. This is validated together with the Bill of Materials.
