Routing – Material Links

Routings can be linked to specific materials, such as semi-finished or finished goods. This limits where a specific routing can be used. Routings that are limited to the production of one or more materials can be used to represent situations such as:

• Different production speeds for different materials, where the target cycle time varies. Separate routings can be defined for each speed.
• Different sets of operations are required for different materials. Separate routings can be created with the applicable operations for each material.

When creating a Production Order, only a released routing that is linked to the selected material is chosen.
