Rework Counter Sets

Rework Counter Sets provide a flexible way to combine multiple Rework Counters that are applicable to one or more Machines.

Manufacturing equipment often varies in the types of rework count that are relevant and available from the equipment, resulting in different machines requiring different collections of Rework Counters.

A set-based approach to modelling this master data enables accurate allocation of Counters to the related entities, offers reuse of the Counters across as many processes as necessary thus ensuring data integrity and consistency, and simplifies reporting.

Rework Counter Sets can hold multiple Rework Counters and are assigned to any number of Machines.

Existing Sets can be copied to create new Sets, allowing Counters to be added, or removed before assigning them to the applicable Machines.

A default Rework Counter Set can also be configured per Machine Type, to allow for new Machines to inherit this Set upon creation.

When a Rework Counter must be provided as part of an operator’s action, for example, when a new machine is created, the offered Counters are constrained by the Set that is allocated to the Machine.
