Alarms History

The Alarms History report displays the full history of alarms generated in the application, including the current state of open alarms, as well as alarms that have been closed.

The type of alarms included within the report are out-of-spec violations, out-of-control violations, expired inspections, violations of FIFO rules, inventory consumptions after user-by-dates, and consumptions before use-after dates.

In addition to reporting alarm activity, the Alarms History report enables users to manage and disposition exceptions by updating alarm statuses from Open to Investigate or Closed.

Use this report to monitor and manage plant operations related to:

  • Quality
    • Out-Of-Specification measurements
    • Critical Defects violations
    • Out-Of-Control measurements
    • Inspections expired without being completed
  • Materials Management
    • Use By and Use After violations
    • FIFO violations
    • BOM under consumption
  • Other production execution considerations
    • Unexpected tool usage
    • Machine events that require special attention

To view this report, within the menu, navigate to Reports > Library > Line Log Book > Exception > Alarms History.

You can perform these tasks:

  • Details: View the detailed information about the selected alarm.
  • Explain: Provide the reason for an alarm.
  • Tag Values: View the tag values associated with the inspection that triggered the alarm.
  • SPC Charts: View the Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts for the inspection that triggered the alarm.
  • Attachment: Attach a document to an alarm.
  • Documents: View the documents attached to the selected alarm.
