Production Orders

The Production Orders report to manage production orders. Users can monitor active orders, review upcoming scheduled production, create new orders, modify schedules, organize production campaigns, and perform execution activities, such as starting or stopping production orders. By combining production visibility with order management capabilities, the report supports the production planning and shop floor schedule adjustments.

When MES is integrated with ERP, the production order schedule is set by ERP and sent to MES. The Production Orders report allows for fine-tuning of the execution sequence of the orders outside of ERP, organize production campaigns, and create urgent "break-in" orders when necessary.

If MES is not integrated with ERP, this report can be used to create the entire production schedule and adjust the entire production schedule directly within MES.

To view this report, within the menu, navigate to Reports > Library > Production > Basic > Production Orders.

You can perform these tasks:

• Add: Add a production order.
• Edit: Modify an existing production order.
• Delete: Delete an existing production order.
• Schedule Job: Create a new production order and assign created production order to a production line.
• Reschedule Jobs: Re-sequence jobs on the selected production lines based on up to 3 properties. The jobs' estimated dates are updated based on the new sequences.
• Inventory Allocation: View allocated inventory for the production orders.
• Consumed Inventory: View consumed inventory for production orders.
• Created Inventory: View created inventory for the production orders.
• Schedule Across Lines(Create Order): Create a new production order and scheduling production order for all lines using a multi-step form, ensuring allocations are made for all operations in the routing.
• Start New: Create a new production order.
• Routing: View the routing configuration for a production order.
• Material Requirements: View the material requirements/ BOM items for a production order’s material.
• Material Usage: View the actual usage of BOM items for a production order’s material.
• Production Release/ Un-Release: Release or un-release the selected job to production.
• Update Schedules (automatic): Update the planned start and end dates of a production order based on the already set sequence.
• Update Schedules(manual): Update the planned start and end dates of a production order based on a newly set sequence.
• Lot Allocation: View the allocated inventory lots for the production order.
• Quality Status: View the quality release status of the production order.
• Job Quality Status: View the job quality release status of the job which is part of the production order.
• Exceptions: View the exceptions that were raised during the execution of a production order.
• Pending Actions: View the outstanding actions to be carried out in a running workflow.
• Add Comment: Add new comments for a production order.
• Comments: View comments associated with a production order.
• Add Document: Add attachments to the production order.
• View Documents: View all the attachments to the production order.
• Unplanned Event: Add details of unplanned events that require investigation.
• Production Campaigns: View production campaigns associated with the production order.
• Job Dependencies: View the dependency between finishing one job and another starting.
• Add Job Dependency: Add a dependency between two jobs.
• Receiving Orders: View receiving orders for this recipe order.
• Allocations: View tool allocations associated with production order.
• Assign To Recipe: Assign the production order to a recipe run.
• Change Assignment: Change the assignment of a production order to a recipe.
• Delete Assignment: Remove the assignment of a production order from a recipe run.
• Inspections for Order: View the list of inspections for a specified production order.
• Certificates: View the certificates for a specified production order.
• Print Certificate: Print the certificates assigned to the specified production order.
• Planned Packs: View all the planned inventory packs for the production order.
• Skill History for Production: View the history of all the skills that were checked when jobs were started.
