Scrap

Scrap is unusable material that is produced during a manufacturing operation and must be discarded. Scrap can include raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished products.

Scrap can be recorded manually or automatically, using OPC. Scrap that is recorded for the produced material is linked to the production run and order against which the scrap is recorded. Scrap that is recorded for material in the BOM is not tracked directly.
