Production Order References

Production Order Reference is used to link production orders that have a defined relationship.

For example, two production orders, A1 and A2, can be related when all material created in A1 is intended for consumption in A2. In this scenario, the two production orders can use the same reference to indicate the relationship.

Another scenario involves generation of additional production orders for semi-finished goods. When a parent order for a finished goods item is scheduled from ERP, the application creates related child orders. The order reference links these child orders to the parent order. You can use this reference in reports and in business logic within interfaces.
