Production Order Types

Each production order must be classified with one of these predefined Production Order Types:

• Production
• Trial
• Test Run

The primary purpose of this classification is to separate orders that produce saleable products from those that do not generate saleable output. Only orders categorized as Production are intended for generating saleable output.

By separating these order types, organizations can:

• Exclude Trial and Test Run orders from production performance reports
• Ensure that performance metrics reflect only standard production activities
• Prevent non-standard runs, often executed under experimental or sub-optimal conditions from skewing overall performance evaluations.
