Starting a scheduled production run

You can execute a planned production run for a production order.

To start a scheduled production run:

  1. Click Start Next from the operator dashboard. The Start Next window is displayed.
  2. Specify this information:
    View scheduled Jobs on other Lines
    If enabled, you can start jobs scheduled on other lines that can be executed on the current line.
    Production Order
    The production order to start.
    BOM Variant
    The bill of materials to use for the production order.
    Routing Operation
    The routing operation to execute on the line.
    Line Group
    The line group to assign the production run to.
    Production Instructions
    The instructions of the production order.
    Out Of Sequence Comments
    The comments required when starting an order that is not first in the scheduled sequence.
  3. Specify this information to return quantity to stock if there are inventory packs being consumed on the running job:
    Position #
    The machine input position on which the inventory pack is consumed.
    Lot
    The lot number of the inventory pack.
    Pack
    The inventory pack being consumed.
    Part #
    The material associated with the inventory pack.
    Description
    The description of the material.
    Quantity
    The quantity of the consumed inventory pack.
    Return Qty
    The quantity to return to stock.
    Unit
    The unit of measure.
    State
    The inventory status assigned to the pack after the return to stock.
    Location
    The storage location to which the inventory pack is returned.
  4. Click OK.
    Note: 
    • If there is already a production order running and you are starting a new production order, the running production order is automatically ended.
    • This option is only available if the line is configured to allow the starting of scheduled production runs.
