Examples of Use

Use the Scrap History report to analyse the scrap quantities and the reasons for production orders. This information can help identify quality issues and opportunities for process improvement.

To achieve this, apply the following filters:

• Select the appropriate value in the Time Frame field, such as Last Month on the Time Frame tab.
• Select the value in the Group by field to Production Order on the Grouping tab.
• Select the value in the Group by field to Reason and click the Add Total Row check box on the Grouping tab.

Run the report.

The generated report provides a breakdown of each production order and the total scrap quantities for each scrap reason. A total row is included for the total scrap of each production order.

Use the Scrap History report to compare scrap generated across machines. This is useful to understand how various machine behave differently by analysing the quantities of scrap and scrap reasons.

To achieve this, apply these filters:

• Select the appropriate value in the Time Frame field, such as Last Month on the Time Frame tab.
• Select the value in the Group by field to Machine and then Reason on the Grouping tab.
• Run the report.
• Select the Quantity: Breakdown1 stack By Breakdown2 chart.

The generated chart displays a bar per machine. Each bar is broken down by scrap reason so that quantities can easily be analysed. Using this chart, the scrap behaviours between the machines can be analysed.

The Scrap History report can be used to view most frequent scrap reasons for each material. This is helpful when analysing the materials that are causing the biggest quality problems.

To achieve this, apply these filters:

• Select the appropriate value in the Time Frame field, such as Last Month on the Time Frame tab.
• Select the value in the Group by field to Material and then Reason on the Grouping tab.
• Add the values in the Top 5 fields and select the Add Total Row check box on the Grouping tab.

Run the report.

The generated report displays breakdown of the top five scrap reasons for each material. The report also includes a total row for each scrapped material. This provides a quick and simple way to identify the most frequent scrap reasons, and the most scrapped materials over a period.
