Adding a job dependency

Job Dependency defines the relationship between two jobs by specifying that one job must finish before another job can start.

To add job dependency:

  1. Select Home > To Do > Production Orders. The Production Orders screen is displayed.
  2. Select a job record and click Job Dependencies. The Job Dependencies window is displayed.
  3. Click Add Job Dependency. The Add Job Dependency window is displayed.
  4. Specify this information:
    From
    The predecessor production run from which the dependency originates.
    To
    The successor production run that is linked to the predecessor production run.
    Job Dependency Type
    The dependency type that determines the link and scheduling constraints between the two production runs. See Job Dependencies.
    Delay
    The amount of time (in minutes) to wait between the completion of the predecessor production run and the start of the successor production run.
  5. Click OK.
