Examples of Use

Active Production Orders

Use the Production Order Status report to monitor all production orders currently in progress on the shop floor.

To achieve this, apply these settings:

  • Select an appropriate period in the Time Frame field on the Time Frame tab.
  • Select the Active, Released, or equivalent production status.
  • Run the report.

The report displays production orders that are currently being executed, allowing supervisors to monitor workload, production progress, and work in progress (WIP).

Production Orders Awaiting Completion

Use the Production Order Status report to identify production orders that have not yet reached a completed status.

To achieve this, apply these settings:

  • Select an appropriate period in the Time Frame field on the Time Frame tab.
  • Exclude Completed production order statuses.
  • Run the report.

The report displays production orders that remain open, helping users identify work that may require attention before scheduling, shipment, or order completion activities can proceed.

Completed Production Orders

Use the Production Order Status report to review production orders that have been fully completed.

To achieve this, apply these settings:

  • Select an appropriate period in the Time Frame field on the Time Frame tab.
  • Select the Completed production order status.
  • Run the report.

The report displays completed production orders and can be used to review historical production activity and verify production completion.

Production Orders Requiring Investigation

Use the Production Order Status report to identify production orders that may require review because of manufacturing exceptions or delays.

To achieve this, apply these settings:

  • Select an appropriate period in the Time Frame field on the Time Frame tab.
  • Select the Investigation inspection class on the More tab.
  • Run the report.

The report helps manufacturing personnel identify production orders that may require corrective action or further investigation.

Note:  This report is available when quality inspections of class Investigate have been used.

Work-In-Progress (WIP) Review

Use the Production Order Status report to review production orders currently moving through the manufacturing process.

To achieve this, apply these settings:

  • Select an appropriate period in the Time Frame field on the Time Frame tab.
  • Select Active production order statuses.
  • Exclude Completed orders.
  • Run the report.

The report provides visibility into current work in progress and can be used to help balance shop floor workloads and monitor production flow.
