Sequences

Job Sequence is also referred as Scheduled Sequence. Job Sequence defines the position of a Production Run within the schedule for a specific Production Line. Job Sequence is assigned to each scheduled Production Run.

• The next Production Run to be started has a Job Sequence 1.
• Subsequent Production Runs follow in the sequence order without gaps.
• Planner can reschedule Production Runs by:
  • Changing the job sequence to move up or down in the queue or
  • Reassigning Production Run to a different production line.
• The job sequence is cleared when the Production Run is started.

By default, the application allows Production Runs to be started out of sequence. For example, a Production Run with Job Sequence 3 can be started before Production Runs with Job Sequences 1 and 2. When this occurs, operators can provide a comment explaining the reason for the sequence deviation.

Campaign Sequence defines the position of a campaign on the production line.

• The first campaign on a line has campaign sequence 1.
• Subsequent campaigns follow in the sequence order without gaps.

The planner can move campaigns during scheduling.

Job Sequence Within Campaign defines the position of a Production Run in a campaign. This is set for campaigns only and starts at 1 for each campaign.

• The first production run within the campaign has sequence 1
• Subsequent production runs follow in sequential order without gaps.
• Planners can move Production Runs within a campaign during scheduling.

Production Order Sequence is used to schedule disconnected orders across production lines when using job dependencies. Production Order Sequence moves all jobs with the same reference across all lines in the production order. This is used with job dependencies only.

The planner can manage the sequencing during the definition of dependencies during scheduling.
