Production Counter Sets

Production Counter Sets provide a flexible tool to collect related Production Counters and are assigned to one or more Machines.

Manufacturing equipment often has variability in the forms of production count that are relevant and available from the equipment, meaning individual machines make use of a different collection of Production Counters.

A set-based approach to modelling this master data enables accurate allocation of Counters to the related entities, offers reuse of the Counters across as many processes as necessary thus ensuring data integrity and consistency, and simplifies reporting.

Production Counter Sets can hold multiple Production Counters and are assigned to any number of Machines.

Existing Sets can be copied to create new Sets, allowing Counters to be added or removed as required before assigning the Production Counter Sets to the applicable Machines.

A default Production Counter Set can also be configured per Machine Type, to allow for new Machines to inherit this Set upon creation.

When a Production Counter must be provided as part of an operator’s action, providing a quantity of parts produced. The offered Counters are constrained by the Set that is allocated to the Machine.
