Merge

The merge transaction is used to combine two inventory packs of the same material into a single new inventory pack. The quantity of the new inventory pack is equal to the combined quantity of the original inventory packs. Once the merge transaction is completed, a new inventory pack is created, and the original inventory packs are no longer available as separate inventory records. Labels for the new inventory pack can also be generated, if required.

Historical traceability is maintained between the input inventory packs and the new inventory pack.

For example, inventory pack A with a quantity of 50 can be merged with inventory pack B with a quantity of 75 to create inventory pack C with a quantity of 125.
