Warehouses

A Warehouse is a storage space with multiple locations where inventory is stored and managed. Warehouses can be located internally within a factory or at an external site. A single factory can have multiple warehouses to support different storage requirements.

The different types of inventories that can be stored in a warehouse includes:

• Raw Material Inventory: This type of inventory is received from suppliers and are stored to be consumed in a manufacturing process.
• Semi-Finished Material Inventory: This type of inventory is created during production and are stored to be consumed in the next process.
• Finished Goods Inventory: This type of inventory is created during the production process and are stored to be shipped to a customer.

Each Warehouse is associated with one or more storage locations, where inventory material can be stored, received and managed.
