Creating inbound inventory packs

You can create the inbound inventory packs to record the inventory packs that are expected to be received on an inbound delivery. When shipment details are available in advance, the information related to an inventory pack can be recorded before the delivery arrives.

  1. Select Home > To Do > Inbound Deliveries. The Deliveries screen is displayed.
  2. Select the delivery and click Delivery Items. The Inbound Delivery Items sub-report is displayed.
  3. Select the delivery item and click Packs. The Delivery Pack sub-report is displayed.
  4. Click Add. The Add window is displayed.
  5. Specify this information:
    Pack #
    The inventory pack number to be received.
    Supplier Pack No
    The inventory pack number of the supplier.
    Supplier Reference
    The reference provided by the supplier.
    Material Number
    The material number of the inventory pack.
    Quantity
    The quantity of the inventory pack.
    Unit
    The unit of measure in which the inventory pack is expressed.
    Default Location
    The location where the inventory pack is received.
    Packaging Material
    The type of packaging material used for the inventory.
    Is Quality Check Required
    If this check box is selected, the the inventory pack must undergo a quality inspection.
    Quality Check Lot No
    The lot number of the quality check for the inventory pack.
    Use By
    The date and time by which the inventory must be used. This value is defaulted to the received inventory pack.
    Use After
    The date and time after which the inventory must be used. This value is defaulted to the received inventory pack.
    Planned
    The date and time the inventory pack is planned to be received.
    Scanned
    The date and time when the inventory is scanned from the delivery.
    Parent Inventory Pack
    The parent inventory pack that contains this inventory pack as a child inventory pack. This must only be selected if the inventory is packed onto another pack.
    External Pack No
    The inventory pack number assigned by an external agency.
    Order
    The inbound order associated with the inventory pack.
    Item #
    The inbound order item associated with the inventory pack.
  6. Click OK.
