Move

The move transaction is used to transfer an inventory pack from one location to another. Each movement is recorded in the application, including the location where the inventory pack is stored and the duration of storage at each location. This information helps track inventory movement and provides visibility into how long an inventory pack has been stored in a specific location.

For example, inventory pack 100 is moved from location X to location Y.

Put-away is a type of inventory movement that occurs when an inventory pack is placed into a warehouse storage for the first time. Unloading an inbound delivery for storage in the warehouse is also an example of a put-away process. Both Move and Put-away are standard inventory movement transactions in the application.
