Packing onto a package

You can place an inventory pack into an inventory package. The inventory package supports easier handling and tracking of the packed inventory. This inventory pack is assigned the Packed state. If the inventory package does not exist, the package can be created during the packing process.

  1. Select Reports > Inventory > Basic > Inventory. The Inventory screen is displayed.
  2. Click Pack Package. The Pack Package window is displayed.
  3. Specify this information:
    Packaging Spec Part
    The material of the packaging spec.
    Package
    The package number in which the inventory pack are packed.
    Comments
    The additional information related to packing.
    Pack
    The inventory pack to be packed in the package.
    Inventory Isolation
    The reason for packing the inventory pack in the package.
  4. Click OK.
    Note: More than one inventory pack can be packed in a package as part of a single transaction using the plus option.
