Inspection version

You can have multiple versions of the same inspection in Infor MES.

Fundamentally, all of the inspection versions for the inspection are the same quality check. Each version might have these levels of variation:

• Number of heads
• Number of samples
• Number of positions
• Variables
• Attributes

If an inspection might name a common check performed against a type of material, then the specifics of what is to be checked, and how it might differ based on the inspection class, inspection trigger, or the equipment available to perform the check. Inspections therefore support different versions.

A default version is created for a new inspection. Additional versions would typically share many of the same variables, attributes, and tags.
