Inspection tags
In addition to variable and attribute data, you can use tags on inspections to collect extra information as part of the check.
Measurement set tags
Measurement set tags are extra data values relating to the process or environment at the time of the inspection. A measurement set tag might record the humidity or temperature at the time of the check, details of inventory being consumed at the time of the check, or data acquired automatically as the inspection begins.
Sample tags
Sample tags relate to individual sample that are inspected. Typically, when an inspection is performed, a group of samples taken from the production process to be checked.
Each sample might be identified with a sample number only, but additionally data might be recorded against each sample. Similarly, each piece might have a serial number, but extra information may be recorded. For example, if the piece has an indicator identifying the die in which it was produced in another part of the process, then this might be useful tagging information.
Defect tags
Defect tags enable extra information on defects to be recorded, enabling you to easily and quickly identify pieces that will not pass inspection.
Definition tags
Definition tags are a method of associating master data, such as an inspection, material, or variable to a tag. These tags might be used to map values extracted from external data sources, such as text files, as part of a quality interface.
Tag profiles
Tag profiles are a named collection of tags commonly used together in an inspection. The tag profile identifies the order in which tags are collected and might also provide lists or queries that control the permissible values.
