Text

Text is used to read text-based information from the PLC.

If the OPC item specifies the current production order number being created, then the value changing indicates that the production order on the line has changed. Infor MES uses this change of value to automatically change the production order being executed to the new one.

Note: Despite its name, a text item can actually store any data type.
