Out counts

The minimum requirement to count production is one 'out count'. This is a typical configuration for manual production counting, because counting production at multiple machines is more work for operators. Automatic production counting enables more detailed production recording, but is only possible if the relevant OPC signals are available.

Typically the out count is defined on the last machine on the line. All out production counts are summed to give a total out count for the line. This is important because the out count might be recorded on a set of parallel machines.
