Campaigns

In Infor MES, a campaign is a way to group jobs by locking them together in the same campaign.

Jobs in a campaign are scheduled to run one after another, the Jobs in a campaign could be for the same material, or for different materials.

For example, if there are fifteen (15) jobs scheduled on a production line, locking together jobs 3,4, and 5 creates a campaign:

Each job in the campaign has a campaign sequence, determining in which order the campaign jobs will be executed.

Additionally, each job on the line has the schedule sequence for the production line:

Rescheduling jobs in the campaign

Rescheduling a job in the campaign moves all jobs in the campaign, but the campaign sequence remains the same.

Note: You cannot schedule another job in the middle of a campaign:

Changing the sequence of jobs in a campaign

You can change the sequence of jobs within the campaign:

Note:  Campaigns are used for scheduling only. After the jobs have been released to the line, MES does not enforce the job execution sequence. This means it is possible to start jobs outside of the sequence.
