Acceptable rate of change

The acceptable rate of change specifies the maximum amount the counter is expected to change by. Typically, this is based on the cycle time of the machine plus a buffer to account for over-achievement.

The acceptable rate of change is measured in counts/second and when used to evaluate the reading received from a PLC, takes into account and the frequency at which the OPC group reads the counter.
