Operation Templates

Operation Templates are collections of phases that can be included as part of a routing. An operation template consists of one or more phases. Ensure operation templates are configured to be reusable in multiple routings.

To view and configure operation templates, navigate to Configuration > Workflow > Operation Templates.

You can use these options on the Operation Templates screen:

• Add: Allows you to create a new operation template.
• Edit: Allows you to edit the existing operation templates.
• View: Allows you to view the existing operation templates that are locked (used on approved routings).
• Layout: Allows you to configure the phases, parameters and transitions within existing operation templates.
• Delete: Allows you to delete the existing operation templates.
• Retire: Allows you to retire the existing operation templates. You cannot use retired operation templates on routings.
• Copy: Allows you to copy an existing operation template to create a new one.
• Revise: Allows you to create a new revision of existing operation templates. Retired operation templates cannot be used in routings.
• Validate: Allows you to verify the validity of an existing operation template. For example, verifying all required transitions exist.
• Phases: Allows you to view the phases used by an operation template.
• Transitions: Allows you to view the transitions configured on an operation template.
• Referrers: Allows you to view the routings that use an operation template.
• Export: Allows you to export existing operation templates to a .json file.
• Import: Allows you to import operation templates from .json files.
