Variable Grades

Variable Grades are used to define classifications for Variables. For example, minor, major, critical. Each variable can be assigned exactly one Variable Grade. Variable Grades help organize and manage variables effectively, especially when analyzing or reporting quality data.

To view and configure variable grades, navigate to Configuration > Quality > Variable Grades.

You can use these options on the Variable Grades screen:

• Add: Allows you to create a new variable grade.
• Edit: Allows you to modify the existing variable grades.
• Retire: Allows you to retire the existing variable grades. You cannot use retired variable grades in production.
• Variables: Allows you to view the variables within variable grades.
